Your Ad Spot

August 19, 2020

Today I post my 100th author's interview, and I am overjoyed to reach this figure. I remember when I first posted the interview of Jahanvi Kuppili on 26 September 2018. My initial thought of starting the interview series is to give the authors a platform to reach the targeted audience. It's been so much fun knowing what's going on in their head. So here are a few questions that I thought would be helpful to understand how I did it.

1. When did I post the interviews?

A. I post it every Wednesday.

2. Why did I post only on Wednesday?

A. Well, I wanted to give the authors a proper time to equate with the fans. So the latest interview lingers on my homepage for the entire week, and it also provides readers an opportunity to not miss the discussion.

3. Did I ever miss posting the interview?

A. Nope. Never. Whether I am sick, going on a holiday, or whatever is going on in my life, I always post the interview and continue doing it. Commitment is an act, not a word.

4. How did I find the authors?

A. Most of the time, they found me, but yeah, sometimes I reach to the authors as well and ask them to be a part of Books Charming

5. What difficulties did I face?

A. I am glad that I didn't face many issues in this regard, but as you know, I post interviews only on Wednesday, so it means I only have 4 or 5 slots available per month. So there was a point when authors sent me responses in January, and I gave them the dates for March, a straight three-month waiting list, and it is quite the current scenario. It also made me think of posting the interview twice a week, but I abandoned the idea because it would contradict my initial views.

I learn a lot of stuff while conducting interviews. Author's struggle, their likes or dislikes, how they write, their favorite novels or writers, their visions, and so on. The whole process is time-consuming, but I loved it, and I am glad that I got the chance to interview celebrities, national bestsellers, and Sunday bestsellers.

I want to thank every author, publisher, and publicist, who is a part of my journey. But, of course, I can't leave my readers behind, so if you're reading this, always remember that you mean a lot to me. You're a member of Books Charming, and I appreciate having you as my loyal reader.

Today it is 100, tomorrow it will be 200.
