Interview with Dr. HHetal

She has been a private practitioner for the last 10 years. She is a certified health coach, passionate nutritionist, yoga coach, prenatal yoga coach, Gujarat Ayurveda University Certified Panchakarma consultant, and a Pilates and face yoga expert. 

She has been successfully losing weight or fat and reversing diseases by just modifying the lifestyle of her clients or patients. She has also been successful to conquer infertility and conceive by modifying food habits, lifestyle and suggesting yoga sequences.

Q.1 Tell us something about yourself that not many people know?
I’m very passionate about my career, but along with my career, I love to read and write, but even many of my family members don’t know that I love exploring new things and creating new healthy items to eat and feed others.

Q.2 Are we going to read more from you shortly? Any new project you’re working on?
I meet many women in my clinic who are very disturbed by hormonal imbalance after 35 or 40. Those women have no idea about a detailed lifestyle, and if they have an idea, they cannot spend time on their health. I particularly want to write a book about How to Hack Hormones with Small Changes in Lifestyle in the future so that these women also can enjoy their lives even in menopause. Ultimately, extraordinary health can be achieved with small and consistent changes.

Q.3 When did you decide to write The Magical Ways for Sparkling Lifestyle?
We live in a world where multi-tasking is inevitable, and work gets the highest priority, resulting in a world of people suffering from lifestyle disorders. There are different types of people living on the Earth. Some people have no criteria for meal planning and no discipline for what and when to eat. They consume anything during brunch, office hours, and snacking time. They do not even realize that these wrong food habits cause many lifestyle disorders such as Type 2 diabetes, PCOS, PCOD, hypertension, and obesity.

Many people are concerned about their health, but lack of knowledge or lack of proper guidance, they are not able to achieve their goals. Then, they get frustrated and leave all experiments regarding maintaining optimal, extraordinary, and disease-free health.

India is often referred to as the “Diabetic capital of the world” as it accounts for 17% of the total number of diabetic patients in the world. There are currently close to 80 million people with diabetes in India, and this number is expected to increase the 135 million by 2045.

It is estimated that nearly 42 million people in India suffer from thyroid-related disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

PCOS is estimated to be between 18 to 20% in women in the age group of 17 to 45 years. Moreover, cardiovascular diseases, which are the general term for conditioning affecting the heart and blood vessels, killed 3.8 million people in 2020; among them, 2 million are adults aged 20 to 30.

Many people don’t even know that these disorders can be reversed by developing eating the right food habits, doing adequate exercises, following regular sleep patterns, emotional well-being, and modifying healthy lifestyles.

Considering all these, I have decided to provide valuable knowledge to everyone through the book so that people can gain benefits from it to stay fit and healthy.

Q.4 In your book, you mention "magical ways" to improve one's lifestyle. Could you briefly explain what some of these magical ways are and how they can positively impact someone's life?
The human body is naturally slightly alkaline. Due to the overconsumption of sugar, packaged and processed foods, our body becomes acidic. Too much acid makes the body’s immune system go down and opens the door for diseases, such as hyperacidity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, premature aging, and hormonal imbalances. One of the studies has shown that cancer cells has grown faster in an acidic environment. That’s why we need to alkalize our bodies first. In my book, I have written 2 magical drinks that make our body alkaline and healthier at a cellular level.

Wheatgrass and moringa are both rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties. Particularly, Moringa is powerful for women. It is packed with vitamins A, C, E, calcium, iron, and antioxidants. This can support bone strength, and immune function, manage mood swings and boost energy levels.

Q.5 What do you want readers to take away from your book?
After reading my book, I want people, particularly women, to make small changes in their lifestyle and live a disease-free life and enjoy life with the family.

Q.6 What are some of the challenges you faced when you started writing?
I have a hectic routine. The whole day passes in the family and my clinic. Moreover, people, particularly busy moms, and women, are not much interested in reading. So those thoughts in the brain together will it be useful to write or not? Then, for the satisfaction of my soul, I continued to write the book and finally finish it.

Q.7 Lifestyle changes often require consistent effort and commitment. How can your book guide readers in maintaining the motivation needed to implement these magical ways into their daily lives?
Motivation is always an inner voice. But if anyone really wants to keep his life healthy, then this book will definitely help.

Q.8 Each person's definition of a "sparkling lifestyle" may vary. How can readers adapt your insights to suit their unique circumstances and goals?
Yes, lifestyle means something different to everyone. Many people think that we work hard to eat only, then we must party on the weekend. But there is one part in my book “Exercise is king”, even if they read the same, they will definitely be motivated to make small changes in their lifestyle.

Q.9 Your book likely offers practical exercises or tips for readers to implement magical ways into their lives. Could you share one or two of these practical exercises or tips as a sneak peek into your book?
Yes, I have shown many magical ways in my book for creating a healthy lifestyle, but if you make these simple and small changes, life can be made beautiful with less effort. For example, using stairs, walking after dinner, quality time with loved ones, and no gadgets one hour before bed or after coming home from the office.

Q.10 What were your feelings when you first saw the cover of the finished product?
The first thought that came to my mind when I saw the photo of the book was that I finally took a step to change people’s health.

Q.11 Do you read your book’s reviews? How do you deal with good and bad ones?
Yes, I read them; everyone has a different perspective. I personally believe that you can give a review only if you have read the book. So, I will say thank you to everyone.

Q.12 What was one of the most surprising things you learned while writing this book?
My research skills, creativity, and productivity has improved. So, I will be able to complete the next project even better.

Q.13 What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
My work is always busy with checking patients in the clinic morning and evening. Besides, I have a son that also must be given priority, but because I like writing, so time was easily available for me. That’s why I didn’t have much trouble.

Q.14 Do you have any unique and quirky writing habits?
I actually like to write more at night when it’s completely quiet. My mind gets creative. A strange, unique, and quirky habit is that I first write my ideas on paper and then type on my desktop.

Q.15 What makes your book stand out from the crowd?
I have tried to explain in this book the main 4 pillars to make the lifestyle beautiful in a basic manner. So, everyone can follow easily. Even I have also used the very simple English language. So, every layman can understand easily.

Q.16 What would you share with folks who are skeptical of reading Non-Fiction?
I will say only one thing. Get out of fantasy and live a genuine life and make yourself physically and mentally healthy.

Q.17 Who edited your book, and how did you select them?
I am thankful to the Notion Press, who guided me nicely. I contacted them from my cousin, who has also published a book from them.

Q.18 Transformation and growth are often part of a journey towards a sparkling lifestyle. Can you share a personal story or experience that highlights the transformative power of your magical ways in your own life?
Let me share some of the facts about my life experience and motivation behind the writing book. I used to be overweight post-pregnancy. I was literally starving myself for nearly two years to lose weight. I was suffering from hormonal imbalances, dry hair, dull skin, weakness, feeling lethargic all the time, Vitamin B12 and D3 deficiencies. 

When I did not get proper results, I was disappointed and frustrated. Being a doctor, I could not afford to be unhealthy. I started to research in deep science of nutrition and lifestyle modification. Then I realized that there are certain misconceptions about diet. I have learned that only dieting and starving yourself does not work. 

After becoming a health coach and passionate nutritionist, I learned that we need to correct just our lifestyle to gain extraordinary health. I worked on some parameters to make my health extraordinary and disease-free by following some parameters of health. I was able to achieve my health target.

During my practice, I have observed that many women complain about feeling stressed, irritated, over-tired, gaining extra weight, hyperacidity, feeling bloated all the time, and constipated, even after putting their best effort into doing exercises and following the diet. Then I decided to start coaching them about those parameters which I applied to improve my health. They were also able to achieve the targets. Some of them were successful in reversing their lifestyle disorders, such as type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, and PCOS.

My mission is to help those people who are suffering from unnecessary weight gain and lifestyle disorders.

Q.19 How did you come up with the title of this book?
Lifestyle is important; only if it shines will we be able to live our life disease free. The remedies for a glowing lifestyle are always magical, so I kept this title.

Q.20 Share the experience of your writing journey so far?
Amazing, I have written this book to address the health-related problems which I have faced in my life. My only aim is that people can live a healthy life by reading this book and following the basic remedies that I have shown.
