He reaches where all the demigods live safely, along with Asher and Azmach. But the camp is not safe anymore, and the trio, along with a few other demigods, needs to go outside to ask for the help of a God, but will they receive the assistance? Will Jason ever realize his true purpose and identity? Will the war between Gods, demigods, and the monsters for power ever end?
Ibrahim Shabazz weaves a tapestry of suspense, skillfully balancing moments of intense action with introspective moments that delve into the psyche of a demigod grappling with the consequences of his existence. The characters' struggles with self-discovery add layers of intricacy to the narrative.
However, I noticed that Jason remains relatively silent for most of the story. At times, Asher took on the role of the main character, especially with his frequent conversations with Azmach and others. I hope the author explores this dynamic differently in his next book, as I want to read more about Jason.
Additionally, the story's beginning unfolds slowly, and the book could benefit from some editing to make it more engaging for readers.
